“Wisdom is knowing I am nothing.
Love is knowing I am everything.
And in between the two, my life moves.”
— NISARGADATTA MAHARAJ
About me
My first encounter with yoga was in 2000 – following a snowboarding accident and during a time of transition in my life.
My first Iyengar Yoga class in Zurich had a lasting influence on my body awareness. The clear alignment and precision of the practice became an important foundation for my understanding of the body and movement.
Later, my path led me to Orit Sen-Gupta and Vijñāna Yoga. There, another dimension of the practice opened up for me: exploring from within, working with breath, energy and inner alignment.
Since then, yoga has accompanied me through many stages of my life – as a mother of twins, a producer, and through my connection to artistic processes. I have been teaching yoga for many years, supporting people in developing and deepening their own practice.
I am interested in the subtle relationships between the body, perception and our inner experience. Nature is an important point of reference for me: its rhythms, movements and cycles, and the question of what we might recognise about ourselves through them.
My training in Somatic Experiencing (SE)® has deepened this approach. SE has given me a precise, body-based language and practical tools for working with the nervous system – bringing much of what had developed over the years through yoga and other forms of body awareness into a new context.
Today, I teach yoga classes, workshops and retreats, and offer individual Somatic Experiencing sessions.
In my yoga practice, physical alignment is as important to me as perception from within. The asanas offer orientation – in space and within our own bodies – and provide a clear structure in which we can observe, explore and experience.
For me, yoga is not a state to be achieved, but a practice of perception and inner knowing.
